Are You A Man Interested In Bodybuilding?

Published on by Gabriel Crystal

Most of the time bodybuilding is seen as an activity that is exclusive to only men. And yes the stereotype holds up because most elite bodybuilders are males. I am assuming that you are a guy who wants to build muscle, well you have the edge (when compared to females) when it comes to building the kind of body you want.

In this article, I address bodybuilding as it relates to skeletal muscles. If you are interested in increasing your penile size, the muscle in that area is called smooth muscle. This means you would need to do penile exercises?

I am sure you must have figured out what penile exercises do... well, they help to strengthen your erections and increase your erect penile size. If you want more info on that stuff, this page sheds more light on it.

As a man, you already have the natural ability to sculpt the kind of body that you want by increasing muscle mass. This is because your body produces natural hormones that help you to achieve your goals of building muscle.

One of the hormones is Testosterone. I am sure you must have heard of it in high school biology. This chemical assists you in having effective exercise sessions and also assists you in training for longer periods. This is the advantage that men have over women when it comes to building muscle.

I would need to stress that before you start any bodybuilding program, it is imperative that you do detailed research to understand the kind of exercises that would be effective in increasing your muscle mass. After you have done that, you would have to be disciplined and work hard so that you can achieve the bodybuilding goals that you have set for yourself.

There is this popular phrase which pertains to building muscle: “no pain, no gain”. This is approach that you need to keep in mind while training. It takes sweat and effort to be able to gain just 2 kilograms of pure muscle in a year.

Your main point of focus would be on staying consistent to an intense workout to help sculpt and build targeted muscle groups that tend to show easily. Try including various exercises so that you can give your muscles a good workout after each session.

Don’t Forget Leg Day!

This is usually a joke in bodybuilding forums, however it a real problem. Most guys tend to neglect some areas in their bodybuilding program. The common one is the thighs and calves – basically the legs.

Even if you don’t enjoy exercising certain areas of your body, make sure you still do it. You don’t want to have an awkward looking body physique.

Nutrition

What you are eating is a big aspect of your bodybuilding program if you want to see impressive muscle growth. If you are not consuming enough of the nutrients that your body needs, you would be struggling to add muscle mass.

The first thing to adjust about your diet is your protein consumption. The body needs protein to make more muscle tissue. The next is to get your energy from complex carbohydrates which are the healthier kinds of carbs. Stay away from processed carbohydrates and reduce your sugar intake, stick to whole grain and complex carbohydrates instead.

Get Adequate Amounts Of Rest

You can lift weights all day and still go about doing other physical activities in the night... you would burn out. If you want to maximise your efforts in the gym, then you would have to getting adequate amount of sleep at night.

It is when you are sleeping that your muscles are healing and re-growing to larger sizes. Your muscles heal because when you lift weights, you damage the tissues slightly and when it heals, it becomes stronger and bigger – this is the way bodybuilding works.

By getting at least 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep each night, you would be giving your muscles adequate time to heal and grow.

Being able to build muscle is about intelligence and not about shouting and straining yourself at the gym. So, if you want to get the kind of body that you can be proud of and that would make women drool, you need to be tactical about how you do things.

To be frank, bodybuilding is quite difficult... I mean for you to see very visible results it takes effort, sweat, pain and determination from you. However, the end results would make you proud and happy that you were able to push through all the obstacle along the way.
